We have been building our half size Thames barge for nearly a year now. The hull was built by Peter Nicholls, and once finished, was transported by road to Dock Lane, Melton where we began the internal fitout. This involved putting wooden nogins onto the supporting steel framework, foam lining and fitting the deck hatches and portlights.

In the forthcoming year we shall be painting the topsides, fitting electronics and building the cockpit and rig.
